The medium and emerging private groups program is one of many compliance programs run by the ATO’s Tax Avoidance Taskforce as part of their compliance and enforcement activities. This program identifies private groups linked to Australian resident individuals and works with them to mitigate tax risks through early engagement, as well as by conducting risk-based review and audits where appropriate.
