Sarsha McEntee (Principal)

Sarsha commenced as graduate in 1994 at MGI Melbourne (formerly Boyd Partners Limited). She Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. After six years in a business services/tax capacity working with SME’s Sarsha jumped the hedge and began working as a commercial accountant at Ashurst (formerly Blake Dawson Waldron).

Since 2002, Sarsha has worked primarily in financial services, in the superannuation/funds management sector in Australia, initially at Mellon Financial Corporation and at PWC Melbourne. Ten years in the banking & financial services sector in London followed, which included working as a Financial Controller at Lehman Brothers Limited UK (yes, she was there when it collapsed) and at Close Brothers Group plc.

A personal career highlight was Sarsha’s stint at the Royal National Theatre in London in 2005-2006.

Sarsha specialises in overseeing and evaluating all aspects of a Finance function, whether people, processes and driving change where required.  Sarsha’s extensive experience in the financial services sector has resulted in her being able to implement financial reporting, budget and forecasting models that meets the varying needs of shareholders, management and Board members. 

Hands-on experience in the commercial sector enables Sarsha to “walk in my clients shoes” and appreciate the day-to-day demands of a finance function from an owner’s/CFO’s perspective.

 

   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce – Major in Accounting & Finance, University of Melbourne.
  • Chartered Accountants, Australia & New Zealand, member since 1996.
